The cottage is situated in Nidderdale North Yorkshire with beautiful views both front and back and easy access to the Dales. An ideal centre for a Yorkshire Holiday. The attractive town of Harrogate is only eight miles away with York, Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Leeds within easy reach. There are shops in Ripley and Summerbridge for groceries, both about four miles away.

Local attractions include Brimham Rocks (2.5 miles), Fountains Abbey (8.5 miles), Mother Shiptons Cave (8.5 miles), Ripley Castle (5 miles) and York races. Many other attractions are listed at the Harrogate Attractions web site. The charming towns of Pateley Bridge (6 miles) and Harrogate (9 miles) are easily accessible and, for the more active, there is tennis (3 miles), fishing (3 miles) and golf (9miles) available close by. The bustling city of Leeds and historic York are 35 minutes and 40 minutes respectively from Harrogate. The area has many fine restaurants and traditional pubs, the nearest within 2 miles.

Comfortable sleeping accommodation for eight. The first floor, reached by a narrow staircase, has three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one single. There is also a bathroom and a separate shower room, both with WC and hand basin. The top floor has a twin room and also a large sitting room / play area which has a double sofa bed so can become the extra bedroom

Downstairs has a sitting room with comfortable sofas, an open log fire and colour TV. Next door there is a well equipped kitchen / dining room with an oil fired Rayburn which provides constant hot water and central heating as required. At the back there is a utility room containing the fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, a large sink, plenty of cupboards and working surfaces. There is also a downstairs cloakroom. The back door leads to a small yard and enclosed garden. A barbecue is provided for use when the weather is suitable.

Directions...

From Ripley on the B6165 towards Pateley Bridge. Drive through Burnt Yates and on leaving, take the right fork and go about ¾ of a mile until you see a row of cottages on your left. Turn left into the lane immediately after the cottages and park on the right. To enter the cottage, walk behind the buildings down a narrow path and take the third gateway on your left, go through the yard and enter via the utility room.
For International or Domestic flights the nearest airport is Leeds Bradford (15 miles).
